We’re looking for the views of Transform’s members and supporters for our response to Network Rail Scotland’s Route Survey.<\/p>\n

NRS are consulting on the plans until 10 March. As this has long-term implications for the railway in Scotland and how it might develop over the next 30 or so years we agreed that it would be best to consult our members for their thoughts and ideas.<\/p>\n

We’re welcome ideas on the following topics:<\/p>\n

1. Anglo-Scottish routes.
\n2. Scottish inter-city routes to the north from the Central Belt.
\n3. Rural routes.
\n4. The cities, in particular Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen.
\n5. Electrification.
\n6. Major stations and how they might develop.
\n7. Alternative solutions such as trams and tram-trains.
\n8. Lines and stations that might be re-opened and possible new lines.
\n9. Any additional thoughts and ideas.<\/p>\n

Paul is keen to get writing very soon — so please get your views in to him as soon as possible!<\/p>\n
