Transform Scotland has responded to Dundee City Council’s public consultation on the introduction of 20mph speed limits.<\/p>\n

The proposals set out by DCC<\/a> would see speed limit reductions introduced across Dundee, with particular focus given to residential areas and streets surrounding schools.<\/p>\n

Whilst Transform is widely supportive of the proposals put forward by Dundee City Council, we have raised concerns regarding the decision not to impose 20mph speed limits in certain areas of the city centre. Including these areas, many of which are\u00a0shopping districts, would provide a safer environment for pedestrians and encourage active travel in some of the busiest regions of Dundee.<\/p>\n
