On Thursday 8 November Transform Scotland members heard from Scott Prentice from ScotRail on the ‘Revolution in Rail’.<\/p>\n

This “Revolution in Rail” is underpinned by a completely new timetable structure in East and North Scotland. By the end of 2019 ScotRail will be operating 2,500 services per day with a train fleet of more than 1,000 vehicles \u2013 increases of 15% and 30% respectively compared to the start of the franchise. For the first time in decades, rail will provide a viable public transport choice for many communities. Scott also explained ScotRail’s plans for the next 2 years and the approach used to design and secure support for a completely new service pattern.<\/p>\n
