We have published a parliamentary briefing issued to all Members of the Scottish Parliament ahead of this afternoon’s Climate Bill Stage 1 report.<\/p>\n

The briefing welcomes the environment committee\u2019s finding that clear climate pathways need to be found to deliver emission reduction in key sectors such as transport where there is opportunity to be much bolder. We call for government to take further action on transport, the largest source of emissions.<\/p>\n

“Active and sustainable transport provides ample further opportunities for reducing climate emissions. There is masses of potential, but much unexplored.
