\u00a0<\/a>\"\"<\/a>We\u2019re delighted to announce that Glasgow City Council have become the newest member of Transform Scotland. Glasgow aims to become the UK\u2019s first net-zero city for greenhouse emissions, including plans for electric buses and high-quality, segregated cycle routes, and we\u2019ll be supporting them every step of the way.<\/p>\n

Councillor Anna Richardson, the City Convener for Sustainability and Carbon Reduction, said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so pleased to join Transform Scotland and work alongside all the other organisations in Scotland who are leading the way to stop climate emissions from transport. We\u2019ve got a lot of work ahead to make Glasgow carbon neutral by 2030, but working together we are ready for the challenge.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Colin Howden, the Director of Transform Scotland, added:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an exciting time for transport in Glasgow. We\u2019re really pleased to see Glasgow show global leadership, particularly in advance of next year\u2019s United Nations Global Climate Summit in the city. We\u2019re delighted that Glasgow recognises the value in joining like-minded organisations at Transform Scotland, to reverse the status quo and give Scotland a green, sustainable, world-leading transport system.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
