Transform Scotland has issued a parliamentary briefing ahead of this afternoon’s Ministerial Statement on the new Draft Infrastructure Investment Plan.<\/p>\n

Transform director Colin Howden said:<\/p>\n

“The current Infrastructure Investment Plan is overwhelmingly skewed to high-carbon transport, with the \u00a3600m on low-carbon investment dwarfed by \u00a36.4bn on high-carbon spend.<\/em><\/p>\n

“In the context of the Climate Emergency, it would represent a major failure for Ministers\u2019 standing on climate should the new IIP not see a comprehensive correction towards low-carbon transport.”<\/em><\/p>\n
