Borders rail tracks, cycle budgets, and Love
Published 12 February 2015 by Colin HowdenToday saw the completion of track-laying for the Borders Railway, another important milestone in this long-awaited project.
Meanwhile, Richard Ardern has an excellent letter in today’s Herald, ‘Railway focus must now switch to the north’. He even mentions our Inter-City Express campaign!
The City of Edinburgh Council have been debating their budget today, and, according to reports from Cllr Lesley Hinds on Twitter, have apparently agreed to devote 8% of their transport budget to cycling.

Edinburgh have also been advising rugby fans regarding this weekend’s Six Nations match. There’s clearly some concern that the trams might become a bit swamped. So where are all the people now who told us that no-one would use the trams?
