Scottish Budget continues to favour unsustainable transport

Transform Scotland has published a short briefing ahead of today’s final (‘Stage 3’) debate on the Scottish Budget 2017-18.

Commenting, Transform Scotland director Colin Howden said:

“This afternoon sees the final vote on the Scottish Government budget for 2017-18. With cuts to the bus budget, frozen investment in active travel, less cash for local authorities to fix the roads, yet a vast increase in the budget for building new roads, it’s a terrible budget for sustainable transport.”
