Public transport operators urge avoiding unnecessary travel during Coronavirus outbreak

The current Government guidelines on protecting yourself and others during the Coronovirus pandemic advise that we do not travel ‘unless for food, health and essential work.’ Public transport operators have kept key services running for those whose travel is essential.
With that in mind, below is some of the advice from our public transport operator members on using their services.
Simply by staying home and avoiding unnecessary travel, you’re supporting key workers and saving lives.

CalMac are introducing an Essential Lifeline Timetable from tomorrow (Friday 27 March) as a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The message is simple.
1. Shop for basic necessities
2. One form of exercise a day
3. For medical/care needs, or to help a vulnerable person

Please don't make journeys unless you absolutely have to! If you do, help each other stay safe by keeping a two meter distance from other people including at bus stops and stations.
